This is me:
I am a university student at the Philipps University of Marburg, studying English and German for the teaching degree. Within the context of my English Studies I am doing a class on new media in foreign languages education (in this case, foreign language is English).
I have decided not to write a term paper at the end of the class. This is because we were given the opportunity to prepare an e-portfolio instead and since this is a class about new media what better choice can you have than to use this new media to get your mark in the end?
In this portfolio, it is my aim to learn how new media is used at school and how this usage can be improved. I want to present my own teaching ideas concerning new media and I want to talk about experiences I had in the past and wishes I have for the future. There are loads of websites on the internet and at some of them I want to have a look. These are just some of the ideas I have for this e-portfolio. I am excited to find out how this portfolio will delevop, which things I can realise and which not.
It would be amazing if you dropped by every now and then and checked out all the new stuff and feel free to leave me a comment.
Update:
A short sitemap:
There are only two main pages: The first is Home, the second page is About (on which you are at the moment), which features a short introduction and explains who I am and what I do. The buttons for the two pages are at the top, directly beneath the header.
On the left hand side, you can see all the posts that exist up to now. In order to see the posts, you have to go to the Home page.
And, last but not least, on the right hand side, you can see several so-called widgets. These are little helpers that provide useful information. For example, you can search for a certain topic, look for interesting links I have added, or see what I have twittered so far. The URL of my twitter-account is http://twitter.com/sirhannes. Feel free to visit me there as well.
